Dr Brittany Wakefield

Dr Brittany Wakefield grew up on the Gold Coast and joined Reydon Street Medical Centre in 2019. She divides her week between Brisbane and Maleny.

Dr. Brittany enjoys getting to know patients and their families whatever their stage of life.  She focuses on listening and providing care with empathy and without judgement. This is appreciated particularly by her female and teenage patients.

Dr. Brittany has a special interest in dermatology and skin cancer. She likes treating patients’ skin conditions and skin cancer because it makes a visible difference. She values the boost this brings to her patients’ confidence and self-esteem .

She enjoys developing longitudinal relationships with patients throughout different stages of their life, and helping them with preventive and family medicine.

Outside of work, Brittany enjoys keeping fit by playing water polo.and is an avid traveller.

Dr Karen Shepherd

Dr Karen Shepherd is a highly experienced General Practitioner who has worked in South East Brisbane for over 20 years. She graduated from the University of Queensland in 1991 and trained at the Mater Adult, Mothers’ and Children’s hospitals. Dr Shepherd was successful in gaining her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1996. She is trained in the Biobalance approach to the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety and depression.

Dr Karen enjoys all aspects of General Practice but has interests in:

  • Gut health, the gut microbiome and irritable bowel syndrome
  • Women’s health
  • Allergy & immunology
  • Chronic illness
  • Mental health.

Outside of work, Dr Shepherd is married and has two teenage children. She loves to spend time travelling with her family, cooking, reading and catching up with friends

Dr Paul Colbrook

Dr Paul Colbrook believes the value and trust gained from longterm relationships between patients and their GP result in better outcomes for patients with chronic conditions. He enjoys a relaxed, non-judgemental and collaborative approach to communication and patient care.

Dr Colbrook finds the early diagnosis and treatment of melanoma and skin cancers effectively to be rewarding and makes a real difference to people’s health.
Paul enjoys beign a family doctor including acute care, children’s and men’s health. In addition to this, he tutors medical students from the University of Queensland and is a GP Supervisor.

After working as a GP in the UK, Paul worked as a medical officer in PNG, a “flying doctor” in the Northern Territory, a GP in North Queensland and in the Queensland Health public hospital system. After settling in Brisbane with his family, he came to Reydon Streeet Medical Centre in 2012.

Dr Annette Kortlucke

Dr Annette Kortlucke has been part of Reydon Street Medical Centre since the beginning, and has lived and worked in the Mount Gravatt area for over thirty years.

Dr Kortlucke enjoys developing longterm, trusting relationships with patients over time. The insight gained from this continuity of care helps her improve and maintain the quality of life for her patients at all ages.

Annette has a wealth of experience, and has undertaken additional training in women’s health, palliative care, mental health. She finds migraine particularly rewarding to treat due to the improved lifestyle it brings her patients.

Dr Neha Pandeya

Dr Neha Pandeya joined Reydon Street Medical Centre in January 2020.

Dr Pandeya grew up in Brisbane and trained at the University of Queensland. She started her training in Cairns Hospital and has recently returned home to Brisbane. Her previous experience includes roles at the Queensland Childrens Hospital and in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. She has an interest in paediatrics, women’s health and the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma, hypertension and heart disease. She is trained to insert and remove Implanon devices.

Dr Pandeya is studying to become a Fellow of the Australian College of General Practitioners. She also holds an academic position at UQ researching Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.

In her spare time, Neha enjoys hiking and spending time with her family and her new golden retriever puppy
