COVID Infections are now in Brisbane – These are the steps  we are taking and tips on how you can help.

We expect the next few months will be hard on us all.

For the last year and a half we have made keeping patients safe while continuing to provide a high quality service to patients a priority.

We continue to focus on safety

  1. All staff and doctors within the building are fully vaccinated against COVID19 (and boosted where eligible)
  2. All Doctors and other staff have continued to wear masks even when not mandated and will now be in the higher N95/P2 masks.
  3. We are running HEPA filtration in the building and increasing ventilation.
  4. Minimising unnecessary entry into the building and reducing the spent time within the building to reduce transmission risk. We are taking several steps
    • We will use Telephone and Video Consults as the first point of contact for all consultations for the time being.
      For some simple consultations this may be all that is necessary, and avoids putting patients at risk of exposure to COVID19 when not required. However, when face to face contact is necessary, hearing the patient’s history by telephone or video first reduces the time spent in close proximity.
    • Asking patients to wait in their car, or undercover outside and only bringing them into the  building at the  right time. See below for using remote check-in
    • For moderate risk patients, we may see them in our tent outside. For certain high risk patients, we may refer them to a respiratory clinic for a safer examination.
    • Using Escripts and  sending referral electronically
    • Running COVID19 vaccination clinics outside whenever possible (even if it may be warm, damp, or windy from time to time, it is safer this way).


Remote Check-In

There will be times when our support team will be under extra pressure. You can do your bit to help reduce this by:

  1. Booking online instead of the phone.
  2. Using the AMS Connect App to book
  3. Using Remote Check In when you arrive outside, or at the time of your telephone or video appointment.
    1. Download the AMS Connect App (AutoMed Systems is our on-Line booking system)
    2. Enter your details to log in
    3. Click on “My Appointments”
    4. On arrival outside , or at your appointment time Click “Check In”
    5. Wait for the doctor or support team to call you.

Reydon Street Medical Centre is moving on 14 February 2022

Reydon Street Medical Centre has a long history of providing high quality health care from trusted doctors from 2 Reydon Street on the corner of Newnham Road and Reydon Street in Upper Mt Gravatt.

The current health crisis means that it is no longer sustainable to continue this tradition from its original premises. To ensure we are more resilient and remain able to provide continuity of care to our patients in the face of sickness or furlough leave we need to be part of a larger organisation.

The great news is the legacy will continue and on 14 February 2022 Reydon Street Medical Centre will join the existing Holland Park General Practice at 1173 Logan Rd, Holland Park. This is part of the IPN Medical Centres network and is located just five minutes from our building.

We intend to provide the same high quality care from doctors you know and trust from more appropriate premises. You should also see the same friendly staff to look after you at the front desk.

Continuity of care and the security of our patient records is our priority. Patients records will be transferred automatically, so your doctor can continue to access them. Given the Holland Park General Practice is part of the IPN Medical Centres network, you can be assured that your health records and personal information will remain safe and secure.

We will continue to book appointments with your chosen doctor, but from Monday 14 February 2022 onwards, all existing and future appointments will take place at Holland Park General Practice.

We look forward to continuing to serve our patients from our new home.
