Consultations by telephone or video are now available to help  our patients minimise the risk of exposure to the virus. Read more about how we keep patients safe on our dedicated page.

Services such as the provision of referrals, certificates and prescriptions can be conducted over the phone.

Although our online diary may be full, please remember that we hold spaces for the day and for phone bookings only. Please phone us on 3216 8500 if you cannot see something suitable on the website for the day and time with the doctor of your choice. We will do our best to help you.

When your usual doctor is not available, rest assured that you can see any of the doctors at Reydon Street Medical Centre. They will be able to access all your records and results, and will write notes so that your usual doctor will know what has happened. All this helps provide you the continuity of care you need.

New Patients

When you come to see the doctor for the first time, you will be asked to provide background medical information. Save yourself time on the day by downloading the New Patient form now and bringing the completed form with you to your first appointment.

Dr Brittany Wakefield and Dr Paul Colbrook are trained  in conducting skin checks for skin cancer and melanoma. You can book online for a  skin check if you are well and have no symptoms of infection such as fever , cough, sore throat, ruuny nose or  contact with Coronavirus  patients.

We now offer face to face consultations in most cases. We also continue to offer  telephone or video consultations (TELEHEALTH) where patients need this  for  peace of  mind, safety or the convenience.

Continuity of care is important to us. We understand the needs of our community and TeleHealth consultations are often an easy and convenient solution for us to continue to serve our existing and new patients. Using innovative changes  to service delivery and technology and a few extra precautions we continue to provide safe and high quality care.

TELEHEALTH consultations are accessible for  general health care, scripts and referrals. They are charged at the same  rate as a face to face consultation and a Medicare rebate is often available.  Book a TELEHEALTH consultation here.

We still need to be mindful  of the risk of  respiratory infections  and the following groups should book a telephone consultation instead of a face to face appointment in the first instance Patients who have:

  1. fever, cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath OR
  2. contact with someone diagnosed with or suspected of having Coronavirus OR
  3. travel from or through Coronavirus hotspots or returned from over seas travel OR
  4. have been in places where positive cases have been present.

In order to keep our patients and staff safe we ask the following:

  • You follow the advice above, and only non-infectious patients enter via the usual main doors.
  • If there is any doubt about your risk to others you ring through to reception.
  • We ask that you be mindful of social distancing and remain 1.5m - 2m away from others while in the building.
  • You do not bring extra children / people with you to appointments if possible.

Help us protect all our patients and staff during the Coronavirus Pandemic so we can deliver family medical care in a safe and equitable way for all patients.
